What is it?
Simethicone is an orally administered agent that allows gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines to come together more easily (anti-foaming agent), which allows for easier passage of gas (antiflatulent). Simethicone is used to relieve painful pressure caused by excess gas in the stomach and intestines that can lead to bloating. Simethicone is for use in babies, children, and adults. Simethicone emulsion is a water-dispersible form of simethicone composed of simethicone, suitable preservatives, and water. It may contain viscosity-increasing agents.
